BOISE, IDAHO- The UNM Lobos (10-3, 1-1) lost a Mountain West matchup in Boise against the Broncos (9-4, 1-1) Dec. 30.

The final: UNM 53, Boise St. 62.

The first half was a bit of a slug fest as both teams only mustered a total of 40 points. Boise held a 21 to 19 lead at the half.

In the second half, the Lobos went on a 13-0 run which included a couple of 3 pointers from guard/forward Antonio Chol. The Lobos only made three 3 pointers on the night on 25 attempts.

Leading the way in scoring for the Lobos was forward Tomislav Buljan who put up 16 points, and 10 boards. Guard Deyton Albury also got double figures (12 points), and six defensive rebounds.

However, the Broncos found life in logging rebounds, outrebounding the Lobos, 48-38.

Boise scored 39 points for the reminder of the game while the Lobos offensive flow stalled. Struggling to find his groove was freshman sharp shooter Jake Hall who was 0-7 from beyond the arc, and was 1-10 on field goals.

The Broncos also found a ton of success from their bench who contributed 37 points to the scoreboard. They also had four players in double figures: forward/center Drew Fielder (11 points), guard Aginaldo Neto (10 points), forward Pearson Carmichael (11 points), and forward Spencer Ahrens (12 points).

Boise State will hit the road for a date with the San Diego State Aztecs (8-4, 2-0) Jan. 3. The UNM Lobos will regroup for another Mountain West bout against Wyoming (10-3, 1-1) at The Pit Jan. 3.
