ALBUQUERQUE, NEW MEXICO- Our team at Couch Potato Sports (CPS) have finalized our Mountain West Players of the Week segment for both men’s and women’s basketball. The respective players were selected for their play during the week of 1/4-1/10.

CPS MW PLAYERS OF THE WEEK (JAN. 6)
Player of the Week (men’s)
UNM’s Jake Hall

STATS (two games): 23 ppg, 58% on 3s, 4.5 rpg, & 55% shooting on FGs.
INSIGHT: UNM freshman Jake Hall inches closer every to the all-time record of 3s made by a UNM freshman. The record is held by Kendall Williams who hit 55 in 2011 (35 games), and Hall now has 48 (17 games). Besides being on the doorstep of school record, Hall has been on a heater recently, and was paramount in a few blow outs wins.
Freshman of the Week (men’s)
Wyoming’s Nasir “Naz” Meyer

STATS: 18.5 ppg, 6 rpg, 1 spg, & 55% on FGs
INSIGHT (two games): Wyoming freshman Naz Meyer continues his stellar season with some dominating performances including his 27 point night against Nevada. Last week, Meyer averaged 18.5 points per game, and was a force on defensive rebounds.
Player of the Week (women’s)
Boise State’s Tatum Thompson

STATS: 17.5 ppg, 7 rpg, 1 spg, & 1 bpg,
INSIGHT: The Boise State Broncos are currently on a three-game win streak that includes a huge win against Colorado State. Tatum Thompson was absolutely stellar on both sides of the ball, and her court IQ continue to make her one of the most complete players in the Mountain West.
Freshman of the Week (women’s)
Nevada’s Skylar Durley

STATS: 16.5 ppg, 10 rpg, 3 apg, & 59% on FGs.
INSIGHT: The freshman standout averaged a double-double, and helped the Wolf Pack to two wins against Wyoming and UNM. In the overtime win against the Cowgirls, Durley logged 14 rebounds and 18 points.
