Albuquerque, New Mexico- We have a ton of talent in New Mexico, and each week we want to highlight a couple of athletes to build on the already strong community that we have, here in the Land of Enchantment.

Our New Mexico Athlete Spotlight series is sponsored by New Mexico Supreme Hoops: NM Supreme Sports LLC offers training, skill development, club basketball and sports events. They are also the Annual Northern Supreme Showdown basketball tournament host. Thank you, to New Mexico Supreme Hoops for supporting our page, and New Mexico athletes.

Next, in our series, we spotlighted Eldorado baseball player runner Abram Pine, an elite first basemen and right handed pitcher for the Eagles who committed to North Central University.

Q: What sports do you play? What got you into that sport?

A: Home field. Eldorado High School!

Q: Any favorite memories during your high school career?

A: My favorite memory from my high school career would be pitching in the state semifinals last year.

Q: Do you have a ritual or routine before a game?

A: Praying before every game.

Q: What are some of your goals for this season?

A: To make a state run, and win the whole thing with my guys.

Q: What is a necessity for a game? AirPods, a certain snack, anything like that?

A: AirPods and Blue Gatorade.

Q: What are some of your go-to songs to get you in the right headspace for a game?

A: “House Music” gets me going before games.

Q: Besides baseball, what are some things you enjoy?

A: I love to go golfing, fishing and hunting.

Q: After a game, how do you celebrate? Sleep, go to your favorite restaurant, what do you do?

A:I like to go have dinner with my family.

Q: What can people expect from your team for the reminder of the season?

A: Expect us to be the most competitive team regardless of what happens.

Q: Give me your Sandlot team, nine spots, you can pick anyone from any team?

A: The starting 9 we have at Eldorado. I love to play and win games with them. I have grown up a lot with all of them. I wouldn’t want any other group.

Coffee tastes terrible anyway. So, don’t put anything to obstruct the harsh, bitter taste. Just put it down, one sip at a time.”
