UPDATED As of 04/18/2026
The transfer portal has become the main driver for roster construction in college sports. In an era where free player movement and Name Image and Likeness deals can shock the psyche, it can be hard to keep up with where your favorite players land and who your favorite coaching staffs have recruited to replace them.
Have no fear, we have you covered at Couch Potato Sports!

For those unfamiliar with the changes made to the portal window this offseason, we’ll fill you in. Unlike in years past, the portal will officially open on Tuesday, April 7th. Two weeks later than last year. Also different is the duration in which the window is “open”. This time around it’s only open for two weeks, two weeks shorter than in the past. Which means it will officially close on April 21st, barring a coaching change of course.
Something of note is all of the announcements already made even though the portal isn’t officially open. We have seen players announcing “intentions to enter the portal” for weeks now. With commitments already rolling in like we saw with Belmont’s Tyler Lundblade committing to Tennessee nearly a full week before contact between staff members and agents is even allowed.
So yes, expect the floodgates to open on Tuesday. But there will continue to be commitments in the coming days and we are here to track everything in between.
Some notes on how to interpret the lists below. There will be an “Leaving” category for outbound players from your program. Along with an “Incoming” section for new players from the Division-I, II, III and NAIA levels. High school, Juco and international recruits will be kept track of and featured in separate pieces over the offseason.
Now, I’ve been creating these things for years now. But something others in the industry and myself have frequently omitted from these trackers are a returning section. That is something that has changed in the past few years or so. Likely related to the move away from NIL deals with local car dealers and Justin Bean’s Bean Burrito ads. To direct revenue sharing from schools and NIL collectives combined in recent years.
Retaining your best players with new deals based on the previous season’s performance have become just as important as finding a starter in the MEAC or OVC, or recruiting that former four-star recruit from a high major program.
Building culture and continuity in your program can be a life saver, if you don’t have the $10 million dollar budget or $20 million dollar budget to build a roster worthy of a second round exit in the NCAA Tournament.
So with that, the “Returning” section will also be highlighted as programs work to resign their players. This tracker will be updated as the news comes in, so make sure to follow us on all of our socials listed on our website and on X @CouchPSports.
Air Force
Returning: N/A
Incoming: N/A
Leaving: N/A
UC Davis
Returning: Connor Sevilla (Jr. G), Chase Rawlins (Frosh. G)
Incoming: Clarence Massamba (Frosh. G),
Leaving: Jalen Stokes (Fr. G), Nils Cooper (Jr. G), Cyril Franklin Jr. (Soph. G), Marcus Wilson (RS-Frosh. G) (COMMITTED TO SACRAMENTO STATE), Abdullah Amzil (Fr. F), Niko Rocak (Grad. F), Marsalis Roberson (RS-Jr. G), Carl Daughtrey (Sr. G), Jonathan Noudjihidi (Jr. F)
Jim Les’ Aggies landed in the middle of the Big West standings, surviving a gauntlet of a Big West season with a conference record above .500. Jalen Stokes played key minutes off of the bench as a Freshman. While Nils Cooper had a bit of a break out season in his second year in Davis. Albuquerque native and Albuquerque Prep alum Marcus Wilson hits the portal after a productive year as a starter for UC Davis after redshirting up in Pullman.
The return of leading scorer Connor Sevilla is a great foundation to build on for the Aggies first season in the Mountain West.
Grand Canyon
Returning: Makaih Williams (Jr. G), Efe Demeril (Fr. C), Caleb Shaw (RS-Jr. G)
Incoming: Omaha Biliew (Jr. F), Jaden Zimmerman (Soph. G), Dylan Darling (RS-Sr. G), Blake Barkley (Soph. F)
Leaving: Kaleb Williams (RS-Jr. F), Dennis Evans (RS-Soph. C), Dusty Stromer (Jr. G), Cole Pepe (Fr. G), Braylon Johnson (Fr. G/F)
Bryce Drew’s Lopes surely came out swinging in their first ever season in the Mountain West. Grand Canyon amassed a roster filled with high major transfers and mid-major stars that was likely set to run the table in the WAC’s final year of existence.
Instead, they abandoned ship a year earlier and made a run at a 3rd place finish, tied with New Mexico. Makaih Williams made 3rd-Team All-Mountain West and was a key part of that top-3 team, so his ultimate return is huge for Coach Drew and Lopes fans in Phoenix. He’s joined by Turkish big man Efe Demeril, who announced his intentions to stay in the desert one more season, providing a dangerous post presence for opposing teams.
While Dennis Evans and Dusty Stromer had their moments, they never truly made the strides needed to crack the starting lineup.
Hawaii
Returning: Isaac Johnson (Gr. F), Tanner Cuff (Sr. F)
Incoming: Marcus Adams Jr. (RS-Soph. F), Houran Dan (Soph. C), Zack Davidson (RS-Soph. F), Jaden Matingou (Jr. G), Kellen Hampton (Fr. G), Bol Dengdit (RS-Jr. F), Manie Joses (Soph. F)
Leaving: Isaac Finlinson (Jr. F), Aaron Hunkin-Claytor (Soph. G), Hunter Carter (Frosh. G), AJ Economou (RS-Soph. G), Jalen Myers (Grad. F), Harry Rouhliadeff (Sr. F)
There’s still plenty to learn about the Rainbow Warriors’ roster this offseason. One thing is for sure is the loss of two part-time starters in former National Junior College Player of the Year Isaac Finlinson and Hawaii native, Aaron Hunkin-Claytor. Both players shared a starting spot after the sophomore guard’s season ended in mid-January thanks to a toe injury.
The Rainbow Warriors lost plenty of starting minutes. But those players have essentially ran out of eligibiility, with only a possible waiver bringing them back. For now we’ve heard nothing regarding that possibility, just some potential incoming transfers on visits in the coming days.
Nevada
Returning: Elijah Price (RS-Soph.), Vaughn Weems (Jr. G), Peyton White (Fr. F), Myles Walker (Fr. G)
Incoming: Simon Majok (Frosh. C),
Leaving: Chuck Bailey III (Jr. G), Tyler Rolison (Jr. G), Amire Robinson (RS-Soph.), Ethan Croley (Fr. F)
Steve Alford and company are in a key moment with Wolf Pack history on the horizon. A chance to become a mainstay atop the new Mountain West conference with a new arena on the docket and a fanbase looking to propel the program to new heights. They weren’t able to retain Rolison, at this moment at least as he entered the portal with Bailey III and Robinson.
But bringing back Elijah Price and Vaughn Weems, along with Memphis reserve big man Simon Majok is a huge step in the right direction.
New Mexico
Returning: Uriah Tenette (Fr. G), Chris Howell (Gr. G), Jake Hall (Frosh. G)
Incoming: Hudson Mayes (Fr. G), Imran Suljanovic (Fr. F), Tunde Vahlberg Fasasi (Jr. F)
Leaving: Tomislav Buljan (Fr. F/C) (COMMITTED TO MARYLAND), JT Rock (RS-So. F/C) (COMMITTED TO KANSAS STATE), Timeout Pons (Frosh. G) (COMMITTED TO ABILENE CHRISTIAN), Kevin Patton Jr. (Jr. G) (COMMITTED TO BETHUNE-COOKMAN), Kallai Patton (RS-Frosh. G) (COMMITTED TO BETHUNE-COOKMAN), Sir’Marius Jones (RS-Frosh. G) (COMMITTED TO WEBER STATE), Antonio Chol (Jr. G/F) (COMMITTED TO UC SANTA BARBARA)
Lobo fans have been hit hard in the first week of Portal action. Losing Buljan to a bigger payday in the Big Ten is expected. But JT Rock and Jake Hall weren’t exactly surprises, but I think fans in Albuquerque were likely creating dream lineups for next season in their head. With the return of dynamic sparkplug Uriah Tenette announced prior, it felt like retaining more Lobo stars was a very real possibility.
Though Rock will likely find a huge payout returning to the high major ranks, there’s still a chance for Hall to return. FINGERS CROSSED!
UNLV
Returning: Tyrin Jones (Fr. G/F), Issac Williamson (Fr. G)
Incoming: Cam Miles (Fr. G), M.J. Thomas (So. F)
Leaving: Dra Gibbs-Lawhorn (Jr. G), Myles Che (Jr. G), Naas Cunningham (RS-Fr. F), Mason Abittan (RS-Fr. G)(COMMITTED TO WEBER STATE), Jacob Bannarbie (RS-Soph. F), Jalen Cunningham (RS-Soph. G), Emmanuel Stephen (RS-Soph. C), Ladji Dembele (Jr. F), Al Green (Sr. G), Howie Fleming Jr. (RS-Sr. G)
The Runnin’ Rebels made waves on social media last week when they became the first Mountain West program to announce the retention of a star player. UNLV managed to keep fantastic freshman Tyrin Jones in Scarlet and Silver for one more season after an impressive first season in college where the Las Vegas native made the All-MWC Defensive team after averaging 2.2 BPG and 1.0 SPG. He sure is losing one of the best scoring buddies in the conference in Dra Gibbs-Lawhorn (the conference’s leading scorer).
Another big loss is Myles Che. Who came to UNLV after a strong sophomore year in the Big West, but failed to see any playing time after an offseason injury sidelined him the whole year.
After the window officially opened, nearly the entire UNLV roster has hit the portal. With nine players leaving Las Vegas. UNLV has made headlines with a publicly boasted NIL budget of around $10.75 million. I can imagine the roster they are trying to build with a high major war chest like that.
San Jose State
Returning: JaVaughn Hannah (Sr. G), Pasha Goodarzi (RS-So. G)
Incoming: Zine Eddine Bedri (Sr. C)
Leaving: Colby Garland (Jr. G), Adrian Myers (RS-Soph. F), Ben Roseborough (RS-Frosh. G), Marcus Overstreet (Jr. C), Christian Wise (RS-Soph. F), Eren Karakaya (Frosh. C), Japhet Moupadele (Frosh. F), Douglas Langford (Frosh. F), Jermaine Washington (Soph. G), Melvin Bell (Fr. G)
San Jose State doesn’t have the financial backing to retain it’s top players, that is well known. But what a player to be able to retain in Colby Garland. The Spartans played with plenty of hodge podge lineups as the program dealt with injuries throughout it’s roster. But Garland was there for a majority of them, averaging 20.3 PPG (good enough for 2nd in the MWC) and making opposing fanbases nervous while doing it.
While Garland is obviously the headliner of the transfer class, the Spartans are losing a whopping ten players since the portal opened on Tuesday. The term rebuild will be used, but at least Coach Tim Miles has one incoming player in Columbia big man Zine Eddine Bedri. A double-digit scorer who missed most of the 2025-2026 season with an injury.
UTEP
Returning: Jordan Hernandez (RS-Jr.)
Incoming: Reese Miller (Jr. G), Reid Cason (So. F), Augusto Cassia (Jr. F)
Leaving: LA Haynes (Jr. G), Trey Horton III (Jr. G), KJ Thomas (Soph. G), Caleb Blackwell (Jr. G), Elijah Jones (Jr. F), Kaseem Watson (Jr. F), CJ Smith (Soph. F), Bobby Montgomery III (Frosh. G), Tyrese Watson (Sr. G), Mohamed Mbaye (Jr. C), David Tubek (Jr. F)
The Miners have struggled in the Joe Golding era in El Paso. And as the program embarks on their new journey in the Mountain West, it appears that the coaching staff may feel a rebuild is in order. As UTEP leads the conference with eleven players with intentions to enter the portal on Tuesday.
Wyoming
Returning: Uriyah Rojas (Jr. G), Naz Meyer (Fr. G/F), Gavin Gores (Fr. F), Khaden Bennet (Jr. G)
Incoming: Michael Mora (Soph. G/F), Renars Sondors (Soph. F), Parker Gerrits (RS-So.)
Leaving: Adam Harakow (Jr. G/F), Damarion Dennis (Soph. G), Jared Harris (Soph. G), Simm-Marten Saadi (Frosh. G/F), Abou Magassa (Soph. F), Garrett Spielman (RS-Frosh. F), Leland Walker (Sr. G)
The Cowboys made some noise across social media this week with some public retention announcements. And the first Mountain West program with an incoming commit. Michael Mora a 6’6 210 guard who began his career at Vermont before landing at Cal State Monterey Bay. Where he put in a 1st-team All-CCAA performance at the D-II level.
While also retaining several key cowboys in Uriyah Rojas, the Juco transfer who played key minutes off of the bench for Coach Wicks. And Naz Meyer, who’s tremendous freshman season made him one of the best not only young players but overall players in the conference this past season.
Wyoming continued to make waves on social media with the announced returns of fellow fantastic freshman Gavin Gores and starter Khaden Bennet. The return of all four players announce clear intentions of Coach Wicks and his staff for next season.
