Here is a list of New Mexico prep football either D1 bound, have been offered by a D1 school or have committed. UPDATED AS OF 5/26/26 1:39 p.m. MT.
Class of 2026
- Cleveland OL Moses Sparks Jr.– signed letter of intent to play football for the Utah Utes. 3-star prospect per 247 Sports, and the unanimous top New Mexico prospect in the 2026 class.
- Cleveland WR Jacob Maldonado– signed letter of intent to play football for the UNM Lobos. 3-star prospect per 247 Sports.
- Cleveland QB Jordan Hatch– signed letter of intent to play football for the NMSU Aggies. Hatch will play after serving his two-year mission in New Jersey.
- Cibola LB Hayes Baum– signed letter of intent to play football for the UNM Lobos. 3-star prospect per 247 Sports, and early enrollee for the Lobos.
- La Cueva LS Mickey Widner– signed letter of intent to play football for Air Force Academy.
- Lovington OL Alex Rivera– signed letter of intent to play football for the Fresno State Bulldogs. 3-star prospect per 247 Sports, and the first Lovington player to go D1 since Brian Urlacher.
- Eldorado OL Matheu Alderman– signed letter of intent to play football for the UNM Lobos.
- Hobbs WR Justice French– signed letter of intent to play football for the UNM Lobos. Coach Eck said they will try him as a defensive back.
- Volcano Vista DB Xander Shelton received a D1 (preferred walk-on) offer from Furman.
Class of 2027
- Carlsbad LB Colton McKibben– verbally committed to the UCLA Bruins. McKibben was a 4-star recruit per 247 Sports, and held over 20 D1 offers before verbally committing.
- St. Pius X RB Hershul Olloway Jr.– verbally committed to the UNM Lobos. Before committing to UNM, Olloway Jr. held offers from NMSU, and UTEP.
- St. Pius X QB Isaiah Carpenter– verbally committed to the NMSU Aggies.
- Eldorado OL Isaic Alderman– received an offer from the University of Akron.
- Fort Sumner/House DE/TE Aaron Torres– received an offer from the UNM Lobos.
