CPS’ Athletes of the Week
-Highland RB William Anchondo– 204 rush yards, and 4 rush touchdowns against Los Alamos.
-Artesia DB Derrick Ruiz– 4 INTS including one pick six, 2 PBUs, and one TFL.
-Sandia LB Aiden Maldonado– 10 tackles, 5 TFLs, 1 sack, 3 QB hurries, and 1 fumble recovered.
-Taos DB Shawn Maestas– 4 INTs against Del Norte.
-St. Pius X forward Nico Reyes– In the past week, Reyes had 7 goals and 1 assists.
-Organ Mountain midfielder Chloe Robey– had a hat trick against Alamogordo.
Coach of the Week
-La Cueva football head coach Brandon Back– Bears defeated Albuquerque, 47-12.
Lobo of the Week
-UNM XC runner Tina Nisoli– the former Hilltopper came in 14th place in the Cowboy Jamboree (6k), she ran a 20:31.0.
