Each week, Couch Potato Sports (CPS) will highlight spirit members at the college , and high school level. Spirit members, whether it be cheer or dance, are an integral part of any game. Without spirit teams, games lose their flair and we won’t let it happen here. To nominate a spirit member, please provide five things: 1. Their first and last name 2. Their position on the team 3. Their year 4. What college/high school they attend 5. A quote on why they are being highlighted.

- Boise State flyer Allie Rynders (junior): “Allie is a third-year member of the Boise State Cheer team and comes from a very competitive cheerleading background growing up in California. She has brought that competitiveness to strive for greatness on the sideline and on the competition floor ever since making this team. Allie leads by example, pushing herself and her teammates to get better every single day. I am proud to coach an athlete who has an undeniable passion for both Boise State and Cheerleading.”- Boise State Spirit Squad head coach Erik Lindgren.

- UNM base Tommy Galaviz (senior): “Tommy has a really steady, admirable work ethic, and it naturally encourages the people around him. He’s been great to coach over these past three years, and one thing about Tommy is he always knows how to make the team laugh.”- UNM Lobo Spirit head coach Gabriella Rivera.

- Rio Rancho high school secondary base Talicia Barrett (senior): Barrett is an All-American caliber cheerleader with a strong background in dance as well. In fact, Barrett was named an All-American back in August. She has helped the Rams to glory in all of her years on varsity, and has displayed a ton sound technique and strength
